Ashley’s path to becoming a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner was driven by a heartfelt commitment to her Maui community. Recognizing the limited availability of advanced educational programs and mental health resources on the island, she pursued her education elsewhere-- earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and her Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. From the beginning, Ashley’s goal was clear: to return home equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to expand access to mental health care in the community that raised her. With her family rooted here, her work is guided by a deep sense of responsibility to the place and people she loves. Ashley’s clinical experience spans high-acuity hospital settings and diverse patient populations across all age groups. Her approach to mental health care is grounded in trust, connection, and treating the whole person. She combines evidence-based medication management with integrative therapeutic techniques, always striving to create a space where patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported throughout every step of their journey.
